Pak Lah, you will always be cherished for being graceful

The writer sharing a light moment with Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi

PAK Lah, no matter how busy you were, you always had time to give me a big smile with a twinkle in your eyes.

One day, you said to me, "You never fail to give me blessing, don't you?"

Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi was unaffected by the changing circumstances and people's negativity, but chose to respond by keeping his calm and cheer.

He did not allow any bitterness or resentment to fester inside. He understood that it is common for great people to face ostracism and rejection.
Because of his spiritual strength, he remained unsusceptible to the negative energy of others. He protected his optimism, which he felt was the best way to remain cheerful.

Although aspersions were cast on his credibility, he never allowed any disdain to be shown on his face.

Because of his wisdom and spirituality, his manners were beautiful. This has nothing to do with culture or education; it is simply a question of humility.

He had the natural ability to touch base with his inner calmness whenever he needed to protect himself from pressure and demands placed upon him.

Pak Lah has respect for the elders. When Dadi Janki, the administrative head of the Brahma Kumaris wanted to see him, he made time for her and met her at his residence. She is 94 years old.

Having been touched by my positive messages, he sent me a poem which I treasured.

He is ready to move on, knowing that as actors in this world drama, the roles are constantly changing.

Although he started off with a tidal wave, a twist in drama changed his fate. Every cloud has a silver lining.

Pak Lah, you have earned our respect and deepest admiration. Thank you.
